Bradford District and Craven Talking Therapies is a free and confidential NHS service, for people aged 16 and over, who are registered with a GP in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale or Craven.
What do we do?
Our service supports people with their mental health and wellbeing by providing access to short-term talking therapies for mild to moderate common mental health problems. We do this by completing an initial assessment with you and recommending suitable therapies, or support, best suited to the problem/s you are currently experiencing and the goals that you have set for yourself.
All treatment is provided by trained IAPT therapists; either one to one, via online therapy (which we call SilverCloud) or in a group course/workshop format. A range of practitioners work within the service. These include Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) and High Intensity Therapist who receive regular clinical supervision and training.
Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP’s) are trained to deliver different interventions for example; guided self-help materials in the form of one-to-one work, courses/workshops and SilverCloud. Our High Intensity therapists work one-to-one with clients.
Patients who would like to access support through the Talking Therapies service can refer themselves online - there is also a wealth of self-help materials and other resources that can be accessed through the website which may be of use to those looking to refer in.
